NH State Parks - Hiking Resources


Friends of Tuckerman Ravine - A private, not-for-profit 501(c)3 organization incorporated to preserve and protect the unique alpine and sub-alpine eastern slopes of Mount Washington, NH. They work in close partnership with the US Forest Service to sustain the traditional uses of this unique ravine.


Mount Washington Avalanche Center - The goal of this organization is to increase visitor safety on Mount Washington during the snow covered months, extending well into spring. The MWAC is operated by the Androscoggin Ranger District of the White Mountain National Forest and is the only American avalanche center east of the Rockies. With the rich history of skiing and climbing here, it is also the oldest backcountry forecasting program in the country.
